Thypoch Simera 28mm f/1.4 Focus Tab Type II – Full-Frame Photo Lens for Leica M (silver)

The Simera 28mm f/1.4 Type II Leica M-mount lens integrates its bright, low-light optics into a sleek aluminum housing, enabling high-quality images in a wide range of photographic situations. Its large aperture also enhances depth-of-field effects, such as bokeh and background separation. With a flip-up aperture ring and focus tab, the lens's manual focus design is both tactile and easy to use. The optical design includes one ultra-low dispersion element, two high refractive index elements, and one aspherical element to ensure sharpness from the center to the edges of the frame. The Simera 28mm f/1.4 Type II version has been ergonomically designed with a comfortable focus tab, allowing for smooth, one-finger focusing for effortless handling.

Low Chromatic Aberration

The Simera 28mm f/1.4 features one aspherical element and three high refractive index elements to reduce chromatic aberration and improve image quality.

Smooth Bokeh and Excellent Low-Light Performance

Thanks to its ability to capture images with a bright f/1.4 aperture, high image quality is guaranteed even in challenging lighting conditions. The lens's 14-blade diaphragm creates a circular bokeh that provides a smooth and pleasing framing of the subject, which is especially useful for portraits. When shooting close-up subjects, a minimum focusing distance of 1.3' is available.

Resistance Warning

When rotating up to 0.7m, you will feel resistance, which warns you that the lens's focusing distance is about to exceed the camera body's limit.

Retro-Style Square Lens Hood

The Simera 28mm f/1.4 comes equipped with a retro-inspired square lens hood, anodized to prevent scratches. The threaded interior of the lens hood helps ensure sharper images by blocking unwanted light.
