Leitz Hektor 25mm T2.1

Leitz HEKTOR is a set of six full-frame primes (18, 25, 35, 50, 73 and 100 mm) at T2.1. Leitz did not copy its current lenses: it drew on Leica designs from the 1930s, 50s and 70s to create a look that suits digital sensors while keeping modern production practical.

A look with personality

Spherical elements only, inspired by 1930s and 50s M lenses and Petzval designs, blending flare, field curvature, fall-off and spherical aberration. Modern coatings control veiling glare better than older lenses and chromatic aberration is greatly reduced.

Light, for any camera

They weigh 0.66–0.97 kg and most are 88 mm long, with an 80 mm front and M77 filter thread (except the 18 mm). Circular 9-blade iris, 120° focus rotation and engraved metric and imperial scales. Interchangeable L, E, Z, RF or G mounts (choose yours in the drop-down). Mounts are passive and pass no metadata.

Made in Wetzlar

Designed, made and assembled by Leitz in Wetzlar, Germany, with a silver anodised finish. The original Hektor lenses date from the 1930s and designer Max Berek named them after his dog; the new 73 mm pays homage to the famous f/1.9 of that focal length.
