Color management

FSI's third-generation color fidelity and LUT interpolation engine (CFE3) houses a multitude of calibration and Look LUT memories for highly accurate color reproduction and effective appearance management. Instantly select from Rec709, EBU, SMPTE-C, DCI P3, Rec2020* Emulation, Native Wide Gamut, and user-generated custom color spaces. *Does not fully cover the Rec2020 color space.

Additional changes to gamma, maximum luminance, and color temperature further increase the versatility of DM Series monitors.

DM Series monitors support video range, extended range, and full range monitoring with simple menu-based toggles.

CFE3 features industry-leading tetrahedral LUT interpolation for greater accuracy and visual performance than hardware that uses trilinear LUT interpolation.

Calibration

FSI monitors come pre-calibrated at the factory and all DM Series monitors support high-precision volumetric automatic calibration for recalibration over time.

Simply connect a compatible probe directly to the monitor and AutoCal's advanced routine will profile the monitor and use volumetric data to accurately select a wide variety of available color management selections. 3D and 1D LUTs are calculated and saved on the fly as color management selections are made on the monitor, resulting in a simple, unified calibration process, all without the need for a computer.

Second screen exit

Mirror what you see on the screen to subsequent computers. Apply LUTs on DM series monitors and other later monitors simultaneously.

The second screen outputs work in addition to the standard loop outputs, allowing you to simultaneously generate clean and manipulated images.

Fast mode with zero delay

Fast mode with zero delay makes DM Series monitors an ideal choice for applications requiring instant video processing speed in set, studio and post-production environments.

When enabled, the total latency between signal reception and on-screen display is less than 1 field.

Flip image

DM series monitors are capable of using multiple image inversion modes. You can quickly switch between available modes including: Portrait, Landscape, and Portrait + Landscape.

Image Flip works on all inputs and is mirrored downstream through the second display output.

Cross conversion

DM series monitors come equipped with cross conversion capability. This allows you to take DisplayPort/HDMI/DVI signals and convert them to SDI for output.

3rd Generation Focus Assist

When activated, this feature will highlight focus areas with a colored stroke. The sensitivity of the focus assist function can be adjusted using the H POS rotary knob. The weight (transparency) of the focus assist function can be adjusted using the V POS rotary knob. The color of the focus assist trace can be adjusted using the REF POS rotary knob. Select from White, Black, Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, Magenta and Cyan.

Advanced Real-Time Vectorscope and Waveform for DM Series Monitors

DM series monitors have real-time waveform and vectorscope that update every frame. The position, background, size and scale of the scope can be adjusted independently using the rotary knobs on the front of the monitor. Real-time oscilloscopes operate in all processing modes, including fast mode with zero delay.
