Manfrotto has combined features from the successful and proven 504HD fluid video head and completely new ones, such as reduced weight and a flat base, to meet the needs of the market. The 504X head integrates a continuously variable fluid drag system (FDS) for both pan and tilt movements, setting a new level of performance in the Manfrotto range, for the smoothest and most vibration-free movements to date. It is capable of operating in extreme conditions, ranging from -30 to +60°

Thanks to its 4-step counterbalancing system (from 0 to 6.5 kg at a center of gravity of 55 mm), the camera will always be balanced quickly and easily. This allows the head to be used in combination with a wide range of camcorders and digital cameras, together with different accessories. Independent brakes on the TILT and PAN movement axes increase the ability to keep the equipment stable and securely in the required position

The 504X can support a maximum load of 12 kg, and its design incorporates a 75 mm flat base that ensures maximum versatility, as it can be used with sliders, arms or other accessories. Weighing only 1.93 kg, the 504X is also 700 g lighter than the previous version, allowing for easier handling. It is also made of aluminum for maximum strength and rigidity with minimum weight

Another feature that improves ease of use is the new 'Side Lock' sliding side-mount shoe for faster setup. The easy link connectors feature Manfrotto's renowned anti-rotation technology and Arri pin system. On the left side, there is a cover that covers the easy link 3/8" connector or the pan bar attachment to prevent cutting during use

If you want to create professional level videos or movies, then this is the must-have tripod. With adjustable ground level stabilizer for more stability. For 100mm hemisphere (100mm to 75mm hemisphere adapter included). The leg locks are safe and reliable and spiked feet are provided, for external use, e.g. in grass.
